Won't take out deeper scratches, but works amazingly well on my guitars. The main advantages for me are that the toothpaste has no nasty, stinky solvents, and it's always handy. WebMay 1, 2024 · If the scratches aren't to deep (down to the wood) you may be able buff them out with a fine cutting paste, if you need to fill them you need a clear Nitrocellulose repair kit, I think in the USA you can get a repair kit from StewMac, you will still need the fine cutting paste to buff it in to the original surface, this is the proper way to do this.
